The Region Collegiate Baseball League is committed to fostering the growth and success of local talent by offering a supportive environment where college athletes can showcase their abilities, develop their potential, and inspire their communities. CORN DOGS
Justin Huisman

Justin Huisman, a Harvey, IL native, is the manager of the Lake County Corn Dogs. He previously managed Trinity Christian College from 2010 to 2021, becoming the winningest coach in the school’s history. Under his leadership, the team made its first-ever NAIA national tournament appearances in 2013 and 2018, won the CCAC Tournament Championship in 2018, and secured six national tournament berths (NAIA and NCCAA). Huisman also had an eight-year professional pitching career from 2000 to 2007 after being drafted by Colorado in the 15th round of the 2000 draft.

Ryan Troxel

Valparaiso native began his college career at Xavier University before making his mark at Indiana Tech, where he earned All-Conference honors in 2023. A standout on the mound, he was named the 2022 Northern League Pitcher of the Year and helped lead the Corn Dogs to a championship. In August 2023, he founded Troxel Pitching Performance in Valparaiso. Ryan served as a JV Assistant Coach at Valparaiso High School in 2024 and now leads Morgan Township High School as Head Coach. Entering his fourth year with Legion Post 94, he steps into the role of Head Coach and Media Director after serving as Pitching Coach

from 2022-2024.

BEAVERS
Sullivan Stickann

Highland native began his college career at Illinois Valley College, earning 1st Team All-NJCAA Region 4 honors in 2019 as a pitcher and outfielder. He went on to play at Trine University before finishing his collegiate career in left field at Wright State Lake Campus. He started coaching with the 18U Playmakers and as a hitting and pitching coach at Dave Griffin’s Baseball School. His coaching journey includes roles as Pitching & Recruitment Coach at Olive Harvey, Manager of the Southland Vikings, and now Pitching & Assistant Coach at Purdue Northwest (PNW). Last season, he led the Beavers to a regular-season title in the Crestwood Collegiate League.
